CeeD member stories – Albacom Ltd
Albacom’s team of specialist engineers have a combined two centuries worth of experience and have been at the forefront of many engineering adaptations and continue to innovate and deliver outstanding products and customer service across four key divisions: Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainable Engineering and Assembly Engineering.
Based in Dundee, the company was established in 1953 as a division of Ferranti. After a management buyout in 1990, Albacom was formed as the business it is known as today. In 2015, the company diversified to include their Lifting & Electric Motor Winding Division, with the creation of their CNC Machining Division through acquisition in 2017 and, in 2020, Albacom received a six figure investment as part of the Scottish Government’s Scottish Growth Scheme to develop business in new markets and support international expansion.
